Committee
CUFTS is a student-run fairtrading organisation, with a committee that changes yearly. Below you can find a brief description of each member's role.
We are always happy to hear from people. If you want to contact a particular committee member, simply click on their name.
President - Stefan Milde
- Organise committee meetings
- Develop and maintain contacts to other Fairtrade organisations and groups in Cambridge
- Follow and obtain information on external campaigns, eg Co-op, MPH, etc...
- Organise around 2 events per term for both stallholders and students generally. These could be in the form of socials, talks etc, and should promote fairtrade and support stallholders
- Improve level of CUFTS publicity
Secretary - Cindy Yu Chen
- Take minutes of all committee meetings
- Act as liaison between CUFTS and Oxfam
- Set order dates, in agreement with Oxfam - publicise these to stallholders
- Deal with any stallholder queries relating to the placing of and progress of orders
Status and Events Officer - Jola Hajri
- Organise CUFTS involvement in Fairtrade Fortnight, One World Week, etc...
- Push for fairtrade involvement in May Balls.
- Push for Fairtrade status in the Colleges and the University
- Organise contacts in colleges to monitor status of Fairtade in each college.
- Push for FT goods in bars and butteries.
- Investigate college catering suppliers and push for them to stock FT goods.
Treasurer - Olga Sologub
- Maintain and monitor the society’s financial situation
- Pay Oxfam for orders
- Monitor sales performance of the College stalls
Webmaster - David Hall
- Maintain the CUFTS website
- Liase with president and treasurer over technical issues
